Morse Micro is at the forefront of next-generation Wi-Fi technology, specializing in Wi-Fi HaLow solutions that offer extended range, lower power consumption, and enhanced penetration. Our innovative chipset applications are designed to revolutionize connectivity for a variety of applications, including IoT, smart home, and industrial automation.

Job Summary

Morse Micro is seeking a Logistics & Operations Specialist to own end-to-end logistics for our Sydney head office. This role is the single point of accountability for everything that physically moves in and out of Morse Micro Pty Ltd — customer and sample shipments of application products, inbound raw materials and components, internal transfers between our global sites, and high-value RF and lab equipment.

Distinct from our semiconductor supply chain function (which manages wafer, die and module flows through foundries, OSATs and contract manufacturers), this position is focused on head office operations: finished goods handling, goods receiving, on-site inventory and storage, customs and freight execution, and the systems and procedures that hold it all together.

The successful candidate will be hands-on in the warehouse and analytical at the desk — receiving and dispatching goods one moment, configuring NetSuite or negotiating freight rates the next. They will build the processes, vendor relationships and system automation that allow Morse Micro’s logistics function to scale with the business.

Key Responsibilities

Outbound Shipments & Customer Fulfilment

  • Pick, pack and dispatch application products — evaluation kits, development boards, reference designs and samples — to customers domestically and internationally.
  • Fulfil commercial sales orders, free-of-charge (FOC) sample requests, and marketing, demo and trade show shipments.
  • Prepare complete export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, Incoterms and HS tariff classifications.
  • Manage carrier selection and booking, tracking, and proactive resolution of transit and delivery exceptions.

Goods Receiving & Inbound Logistics

  • Act as the receiving point for head office: verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders, inspect quantity and condition, and record receipts in the MRP/ERP system.
  • Put away received stock and maintain accurate bin and location data.
  • Coordinate inbound freight of raw materials, components and consumables from suppliers worldwide into Morse Micro offices and facilities.
  • Manage import documentation and clearance requirements for inbound consignments.

Inventory, Stores & Finished Goods Control

  • Execute finished goods transactions in the ERP, including work-order completion, transfer of goods into finished goods, and inventory adjustments.
  • Perform cycle counts, periodic stocktakes, reconciliation and discrepancy investigation.
  • Maintain, organise and continuously improve head office storage areas, stores and stock locations.
  • Fulfil internal requests for products, samples and boards, and coordinate inter-office distribution across our global sites.

Capital Equipment & Facilities Logistics

  • Coordinate domestic and international movement of large and high-value RF and laboratory equipment — vector signal generators and analysers, spectrum analysers, load pull systems, wireless test platforms — for inter-site transfer, repair and calibration.
  • Manage crating, insurance, freight, customs clearance and temporary import/export arrangements (including ATA carnets) for capital equipment.
  • Coordinate and support purchasing activity for lab, facility and infrastructure builds, from quotation through to delivery and installation.

Customs, Freight & Vendor Management

  • Serve as the in-house subject matter expert on customs procedures, Incoterms, HS codes, country of origin and export compliance.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders and logistics service providers.
  • Source and compare quotations from multiple carriers and forwarders for significant shipments to secure the best balance of cost, transit time and reliability.
  • Support the qualification, onboarding and ongoing performance management of third-party logistics (3PL) providers.

Systems, Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Configure and maintain ERP/MRP (NetSuite) logistics and inventory functionality to automate transactions, improve data accuracy and streamline communication between teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working with Finance, IT and external consultants to restore and improve functionality.
  • Develop, document and roll out procedures, work instructions and policies for inbound and outbound goods.
  • Analyse shipping and logistics data — freight spend, lead times, carrier performance, shipment volumes — to identify cost savings, service improvements and readiness for future scale.
  • Act as the go-to logistics contact for Morse Micro Pty Ltd, supporting Engineering, Applications, Marketing, Sales, Finance and Facilities.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 3+ years in logistics, warehousing, distribution or supply chain operations.
  • Working knowledge of import/export documentation, customs clearance procedures, Incoterms and HS code classification.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems for inventory and order transactions.
  • Comfortable with the physical aspects of the role: goods receiving, picking and packing, put-away and stocktakes.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously as the sole logistics owner on site.

Preferred

  • Experience in electronics, semiconductor or high-tech hardware environments.
  • NetSuite configuration or administration experience.
  • Experience shipping high-value test and measurement equipment, and familiarity with carnets and calibration logistics.
  • Familiarity with dangerous goods requirements, particularly lithium battery shipping (IATA/IMDG).
  • Experience qualifying and managing 3PL and freight forwarding partners.
  • Confidence working with logistics data and reporting to drive decisions.
  • Experience supporting global teams across APAC, North America, Australia and Europe.
