Where and how you can work
Alongside our global campuses, we also collaborate with talented contractors and freelancers from all over the world to help us achieve our crazy big goals. While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working anywhere in Poland, for this role our preferred location is Warsaw.
This role is a 12-month contract (B2B) with potential to extend based on impact.
About the opportunity
Community has always been at the heart of Canva. In Poland, we’re at day one of local creator operations: your mission is to build a vibrant community of Polish Creators from the ground up and help shape a deeply localized template library that resonates with real Polish needs.
You’ll connect creative talent with cultural moments and product priorities to form the visual language of Polish marketing, SMB branding, social media, and visual communication inside companies. You’ll spend meaningful time on the ground—meeting creators, hosting meet‑ups, recruiting at relevant industry events, and promoting Canva as a thriving marketplace for digital creators.

What you’ll be doing
- Define and execute the Poland Creator community strategy aligned to product priorities, cultural moments, and campaign needs.
- Build and manage the Poland Creator community - onboarding, engaging, and supporting contributors so they feel a sense of belonging and momentum.
- Identify, recruit, and nurture top creative talent; guide outputs to meet visual trends and Canva quality standards.
- Spin up strong feedback loops (critiques, reviews, QA) so creators steadily improve and content stays on‑brand and culturally relevant.
- Use data and insights to measure community health and content performance; iterate programs for impact.
- Design and run on‑ground activations: community meet‑ups, “Creator Lab” workshops, portfolio reviews, and co‑creation sprints.
- Recruit new creators at relevant industry events, universities/design schools, and professional networks; build partnership pipelines with creative communities.
- Craft clear, inclusive communications and briefs across channels (Discord/FB Groups/Circle/email) that inform, inspire, and activate.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Content, SEO, Country Marketing, and Product to deliver initiatives that accelerate pl‑PL content supply and quality.
- Act as a trusted relationship‑builder - offering empathetic support, actionable guidance, and proactive engagement to strengthen creator trust and retention.
You're probably a match if you have
- 5+ years in community management or adjacent fields, with a track record building or scaling creative/contributor communities.
- Deep knowledge of the Polish creative and cultural landscape; you spot trends, nurture talent, and steer creators toward culturally resonant work.
- Experience zero‑to‑one: you’re energized by setting up strategy, systems, and rituals in a new market.
- Event planning skills for both online and offline activations; confident public speaker and facilitator for workshops and webinars.
- Hands‑on with community platforms (Discord, Facebook Groups, Circle or similar) and productivity/marketing tools (Google Workspace, Monday, HubSpot or equivalents).
- Analytical mindset - comfortable turning creator and content data into actionable program improvements.
- Excellent communication in Polish and English; inclusive tone and strong writing skills.
- Nice to have: marketplace/community building experience, familiarity with education communities, and partnerships with design schools or creator collectives.
