About Syenta

The demand for powerful computing is skyrocketing—driven by AI, data centers, and next-generation electronics—even as Moore’s Law approaches its limits. Advanced packaging has emerged as the new battleground for increasing performance and efficiency, but existing manufacturing processes are expensive, slow, and struggle to scale. Syenta is changing that.

Our vision is to bring the power of additive manufacturing to the semiconductor industry through our proprietary Localised Electrochemical Manufacturing technology.

We are building a world-class team where seasoned engineers and ambitious emerging talent collaborate to solve some of the toughest challenges in semiconductor manufacturing. To help shape and support our head office operations, we are seeking an organized, proactive, and motivated Operations Associate.

About The Role

Syenta is looking for an early career professional to join our team as an Operations Associate, focusing on workforce management. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in workforce planning and operations while developing your skills in HR and people management. You will play a key role in ensuring our teams are properly resourced and supported, with opportunities to grow and further specialise in HR, Marketing or other specific operational roles.

Day to Day

  • Work with the Head of Operations to define and then own execution of hiring plans globally (Australia, US, Europe). This includes analyzing historical data, supporting third party recruitment agencies, and identifying gaps in workforce coverage.
  • Create and own Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) across all non-technical business areas.
  • Assist with workforce-related processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and training tracking.
  • Collaborate with managers to optimize workforce deployment and efficiency.
  • Own the generation and implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, templates, and ways of working.
  • Work with both external and internal teams to coordinate activities in Marketing, Legal, Business Development, Procurement and IT.
  • Identify recurring errors or inconsistencies in process implementation and provide clear QA insights on SOP adherence, rule misinterpretations and data handling issues.

About You

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience within operations, business administration, human resources, marketing, project coordination, customer support or similar.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering or similar.
  • A keen interest in tech/ deep tech.
  • Experience operating in fast-paced environments, with startup experience desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • A team player with excellent collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable working across a wide range of initiatives and business areas.
  • Experience with Sharepoint, Employment Hero, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software, Approval Max or similar software suites desirable.
