About Sonder

At Sonder, we believe every person deserves to feel safe, supported, and empowered to be at their best. We're redefining workplace health, safety, and wellbeing through a seamless blend of technology and human expertise — providing 24/7 real-time support from medical, mental health, and safety professionals to over one million members across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.

About the Role

This is the person who makes Sonder's Sydney office actually work and genuinely thrive. As our Office & Facilities Manager, you'll own the day-to-day operational running of our Sydney HQ, with oversight of our smaller offices in the UK and New Zealand. Reporting to the Head of Business Operations, you'll be the first face people see, the person who spots a problem before it becomes one, and the reason the office feels like somewhere people want to show up. Please note this is a fully on-site role, five days a week in our Waterloo Office.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the end-to-end running of the Sydney office - from reception and shared spaces to building access, maintenance coordination, and supplier relationships, ensuring everything runs without a hitch!
  • Keep the office environment consistently well-presented and stocked, managing consumables, vendor relationships, and space utilisation so the team can focus on their work
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver internal company events from all-hands and planning days to Monday breakfasts, Thursday lunches, and Friday coffees — managing logistics, catering, venues, and the events budget end-to-end
  • Support our UK and NZ office contacts with space management, supplier queries, and facilities issues that need a head office hand, always staying ahead of issues before they escalate
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding logistics for team members — building access, site inductions, swag kits, asset collection whilst ensuring every new starter feels set up and every departure is handled with care
  • Lead and support ad hoc facilities projects, including early groundwork on an upcoming office relocation, coordinating stakeholder input and driving logistics from planning through to completion

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in office and facilities management, including building maintenance, contractor coordination, and supplier relationships
  • Solid understanding of WHS compliance and what it takes to maintain a safe workplace
  • Experience planning and coordinating internal business events and managing budgets end-to-end
  • Confident working across Google Workspace tools and comfortable managing multiple priorities independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a genuinely warm presence
  • A proactive, can-do approach - you don't wait to be asked, you anticipate and act
  • Clear and professional communication, confident engaging with staff at all levels, vendors, and building management
  • Right to work in Australia and willingness to complete a National Criminal History Check
