PsiQuantum is uniquely positioned to deliver on the promise of quantum computing years earlier than our competitors. Our architecture is based on photonics which gives us the ability to produce our components using existing high-volume semiconductor manufacturing processes, the same processes that are today producing billions of chips for telecom and consumer electronics applications. Since photons don’t feel heat, we can take advantage of existing cryogenic cooling systems, the kind that have been operating at facilities like the Stanford Linear Accelerator (SLAC). And because photons are in fact light, they can move between subsystems at tremendous speed using standard fiber connectivity.

Our team is building a utility scale quantum computer and the software tools needed to build fault tolerant quantum applications. We’re a highly motivated and collaborative group focused on a singular goal - building the world’s first useful quantum computer on the fastest path possible.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for monitoring & maintaining facility equipment for all PsiQuantum locations.
• To work with various contractors like electricians, piping, HVAC & other facility equipment vendors.
• Be involved & coordinate with any facility construction projects.
• Responsibility also includes quickly responding to facility related emergencies.
• Must communicate status of daily activities & respond to facility related requests.
• Position reports to Facility Director to coordinate & manage project plans & activities.

Experience/Qualifications:

• College degree related to this field or equivalent of 5 years of experience supporting facility is required.
• Should be familiar with chillers, water pumps, air compressors, air handlers, electrical equipment, facility safety equipment/systems, vacuum systems, lighting equipment, plumbing, cooling water systems & other facility support systems.
• Position involves physical labor such as lifting, moving items, use of hand tools & measurement equipment like Volt/Amp meters & other specialty instruments.
• Candidate must have very good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Candidate should have computer skills & be able to organize & maintain records. Able to use MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) & other software required.
• Ability to read & interpret plan drawings, schematics & other documentation.
• Experience in supporting semiconductor facility is a plus.
