What does a Geospatial Solutions Intern do?
- Learn about UAV-survey terms and best practices
- Learn how Propeller produces actionable spatial information for our customers from their data
- Learn about Propeller's web-based GIS platform and the common ways our customers use it in a diverse range of industries
- Process survey data for our customers
- Learn how we troubleshoot photogrammetry and PPK data
- Learn backend and frontend processing in Propeller
- You’ll also have the opportunity to tackle a real-world problem that you’re passionate about! At the end of the program, you’ll present your findings to the Geospatial Solutions Team (including many fellow alumni with degrees in GIS-related fields) and to senior leadership.
- Have real experience processing actual photogrammetry data from our clients in the construction, mining, and other industries.
- Be familiar with the Propeller processing workflow.

- Propeller's internship program will run from June to July 2026 for a total of 150 hours.
- In order to take part in the internship program, you'll need to have your own laptop. Spec requirements are a minimum Intel i3 machine or similar with 8GB RAM. Ideally, a Windows computer with Chrome installed, but other operating systems are also acceptable.
- You must have a stable internet connection at home. You need to be able to process data through a web-based application and to meet with your peers and mentors via video call.
- This internship might not qualify for academic credits, but it still offers valuable learning experience and a potential opportunity to return for a full-time role, depending on business needs.
