Your Mission
You’ll partner with stakeholders within Finance and across the business to drive accuracy and efficiency in our financial processes. Propeller is a fast-paced, exciting environment where you’ll be managing multiple deadlines while ensuring the highest standards of precision. With a problem-solving mindset and a collaborative approach, you'll play a key role in refining and improving how we operate, making a meaningful impact on our financial systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage global transactional accounting tasks, including accounts payable, invoicing, bank transactions, and payroll inputs, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Own the month-end close procedures for relevant entities, including preparing and posting journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and analyzing variances.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, design, and implement new systems and processes that support our growing global footprint.
- Assist in tax compliance (corporate, VAT/GST, and other indirect taxes) in Australia and other overseas jurisdictions, working closely with external advisors to ensure timely filings.
- Contribute to ad hoc finance projects, initiatives, and reporting that drive strategic decision-making.
Your Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA qualification in the Philippines strongly preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
- Solid understanding of month-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
- Proficiency in Xero Accounting Software, Slack, Gmail, and related financial tools.
- Strong analytical skills to identify variances and trends.
- Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency.
- Experience working with global teams across multiple locations.
- Experience guiding or mentoring junior staff.
- A track record of process improvement—streamlining workflows and implementing new systems or tools.
