Account Manager, Workshop
Sales & Business Development · Full-time
Auckland, New Zealand · Christchurch, New Zealand
Note: Partly is headquartered in Austin, TX with offices in London, UK, Christchurch, NZ and Auckland, NZ. Wherever you're based, we'll connect you with your nearest office for onboarding, and fly you to join the full team for our quarterly "Season Openers" (we cover travel and accommodation). If you're relocating to join us, we can also assist with relocation costs.
🚀 Our Story
Partly is building the infrastructure for anyone to repair anything. We believe everything built should be repairable, and we're building frontier AI to put repair knowledge to work, starting with the $2tn automotive market.
Our model, Interpreter, is the first AI purpose-built to understand repair. Trained on 1M+ car models and 1B+ parts, it reads a repair job the way an estimator does, resolves damage into the exact purchasable part, and shows its reasoning with a confidence score. On real production jobs, an estimator working with Interpreter reaches 98.8% parts-list accuracy, against 92.1% with today's tools. It powers PartlyRepair, used by collision shops, workshops and suppliers to take the admin off the job; PartlyLabs, the agentic infrastructure enterprises use to deploy Interpreter across their own workflows; and a developer API.
Founded by ex-Rocket Lab engineers, we've raised a $50m Series B led by DST Global (Anthropic, Airbnb, Meta, TikTok, Spotify), with Blackbird Ventures, WNDR, Activant Capital, Icehouse Ventures, Square Peg, Airtree and Ecliptic Venture Capital. Hear it from the team: Why Partly exists and AI at Partly.
🖍️ This role
As Partly's Account Manager, Workshop, you'll own the post-signature relationship with mechanical and service workshops on PartlyRepair. You'll take the handoff from Sales, drive each workshop to become a weekly-active customer, keep them there, spot expansion moments, and represent them internally.
Workshops are the front line of our service and mechanical segment: independent shops running everything from routine servicing to complex diagnostic and repair work. Your job is to make sure Partly earns its place in how they run their day, and that they get real, measurable value from it.
This is a hands-on operator role, not a relationship-only seat. You'll live in the data, resolve issues to ground, feed structured feedback to Product and Engineering, and build the playbook that lets us scale workshop success as the network grows.
Why join now: Partly closed a $50M Series B led by DST Global and is scaling fast across New Zealand, the UK and the US, in a $1.9 trillion industry that modern software has barely touched. You'd be early, close to the founders, and given real ownership from day one.
💻 What will you do
Own the workshop relationship. Take the handoff from Sales and drive newly signed workshops to weekly active: onboarded, trained, and using Partly as part of their daily workflow. Be the person owners, service managers and parts buyers call when something's up.
Drive adoption, retention and expansion. Run regular check-ins, lift usage of the features that matter, spot churn risk early, and reactivate dormant workshops before they slip. Find expansion moments (more users, sites or higher-value propositions) and build the playbook for them.
Resolve issues to ground. Own workshop issues from first report through root cause, fix and follow-up, working with Support, Product and Engineering rather than passing tickets on.
Be the voice of the workshop. Turn workshop needs and feedback into a clear point of view for Product, Engineering and the commercial team, so we ship the right things in the right order.
-
Lead with data. Track workshop health, weekly active use, key feature usage and expansion signals across your book, and act on what you see.
🥷 Your skills
Customer success or account management experience. You've owned post-sale relationships, adoption or retention at a scaling business, ideally B2B. People trust you quickly.
Hands-on operator. You pull the data yourself, live in the CRM and dashboards, run the account review, and fix the issue rather than passing it on.
Strong communicator. Credible with a workshop owner on site, an engineer in Slack and a senior leader in a review.
Ownership mindset. Proactive, decisive and comfortable working with autonomy in a fast-moving business.
Process and systems instinct. You spot the manual, repetitive thing and turn it into a repeatable process.
(Preferred) Automotive or workshop context. Knowing how mechanical and service workshops run (parts procurement, service workflows, workshop economics) will help you land fast, but sharp generalists are welcome.
(Bonus) Experience with marketplace, infrastructure or B2B SaaS products where the technical side matters to the customer experience.
Please note: if you don't have all the skills or experience listed above but believe you could be outstanding in this role, please still consider applying. Many people count themselves out. We'd love the chance to learn more about you and why you're exceptional.
