MoreGoodDays is a for purpose company dedicated to helping people living with fibromyalgia get their lives back, through digital pain management and peer support coaching.
Fibromyalgia (FM) pain is real, debilitating and often misunderstood. Today, we know that the best approach to managing FM treats every aspect of the patient, involving education, psychology, physical conditioning, diet and lifestyle. MoreGoodDays takes the latest science, and combines the best of these elements to improve quality of life and reduce symptoms over time all from the comfort of home.
Backed by the University of Melbourne the current program was built by a team of doctors, scientists, people living with FM and innovators all dedicated to our mission of reimagining multidisciplinary chronic pain care.
About the Role:
At MoreGoodDays, lived experience is far from a superficial consideration, it is embedded into the very fabric of our organization. Therefore we are specifically seeking someone who lives with Fibromyalgia and/or chronic pain and are successfully managing their symptoms. The ideal coach also has qualifications and experience in a related field, including but not limited to: counseling, social work, health coaching, life coaching, rehabilitation roles.
As a Support Coach (Peer Support), Contractor, you will be guiding our clients through the program, personalizing the strategies for their unique needs, and empowering them with the tools and support they need to have more good days. All coaches are trained in our evidence based approaches.
What you’ll do
Experience in a related field, including but not limited to: counseling, social work, health coaching, life coaching, rehabilitation roles.
A deep passion for helping people living with chronic illness and pain to reclaim their lives
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, coupled with empathy, compassion, and non-judgment
The ability to deliver the right level of accountability, sharing truths with the client that will help unblock them to keep going
The ability to master the skills and tools shared in the program, and adapt this knowledge to suit each client's learning style
The ability to multitask and remain highly organized while managing relationships with multiple clients
Willingness to learn to use tools such as our SMS platform, video conferencing, practice management software, and internal communication software such as Slack
The ability to ramp up to working 3 hours a day. Our priority is to ensure a supportive and flexible work environment that enables you to prioritize your health
To be successful in this role, you will need:

The ability to hold clients accountable and deliver hard truths in a heartfelt manner, assisting them in overcoming internal blocks or obstacles that may hinder their progress
The ability to quickly master the skills and tools shared in the More Good Days program, and adapt this knowledge to suit each client's learning style
Experience in coaching or counseling individuals on health and wellness issues or in a customer success role is highly desirable
The ability to multitask and remain highly organized while managing relationships with multiple clients
Willingness to learn to use tools such as our SMS platform, video conferencing, practice management software, and Slack for communication with clients
