About Us
Lorikeet is redefining what customer support looks like — and we're just getting started.
We build AI that handles complex, high-volume support for fintechs, healthtechs, marketplaces, and delivery services. Not chatbot-tier AI. The kind that actually resolves tickets, gives support teams their time back, and raises the bar for what software can do.
We're backed by over $50M USD from QED, Blackbird, and Square Peg, with backing from operators like Claire Hughes Johnson (ex-Stripe COO) and Cristina Cordova (Linear COO), plus founders of Canva, Atlassian, and Airwallex. We're the first company since Canva to be funded at early stage by all three of Australia's top VC funds — which tells you something about the calibre of people who've looked closely at what we're building and said yes.
Our customers include some of the largest telehealth, fintech, and marketplace companies in the US and Australia — many handling over a million support tickets a year. The problems are real, the scale is real, and the work matters.
If you want to build something that genuinely changes how businesses and customers interact — this is the place.
About the role
We're hiring Lorikeet's first dedicated Founder's Office Associate — a role that sits at the centre of how our founders operate and scale their impact.
The Founder's Office works directly alongside our Co-Founder & CEO and Chief of Staff to advance the highest-priority projects for the company. You'll work on high-stakes, glamorous problems and unglamorous work that requires high diligence, high judgement, and high grind — but with unlimited scope for impact and access to AI tooling to help you operate at a higher level.
At leading tech startups, the strongest operators started as sharp generalists — often from consulting or entrepreneurial backgrounds — who embedded with founders, took on whatever the business needed, and built deep context along the way. Many went on to build entire functions and teams.
That's the opportunity here. Running the leadership meeting teaches you how decisions get made. Prepping an investor call teaches you how fundraising works. Taking things off our founders' plates teaches you what matters most. The exposure compounds. This role sits in the BizOps team, and we'd expect folks to graduate into that team after 1–2 years — where current members are serving as Chief of Staff, Head of Ecosystem Partnerships, GTM Engineering, and Head of RevOps.
What's unique about this opportunity?
Warm, mature, flexible culture. Low ego, high trust. No tolerance for talented jerks. We're committed to building a diverse team and strongly encourage people from underrepresented backgrounds to reach out.
High pay, high expectations, high performance. We aim to match unicorn/scale-up base salaries and offer equity that could be genuinely life-changing. The whole team gets the same investor updates, because you'll be an investor and owner too.
Scope that punches above your title. You'll work directly with the Co-Founder and CEO, our leadership team on the highest-leverage problems in the business. You get real exposure to how a fast-scaling startup is built. The context you absorb here compounds. The path forward is yours to shape.
A recruitment process that respects your time. Informal chats, then a two-day paid work trial. No better way to figure out if we're a fit than to actually work together.
About you
You're a sharp, curious generalist with 2–4 years in consulting, finance, or a fast-growing startup — someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership instinctively, and never lets a thread drop. You understand that operational excellence is a craft, not a stepping stone, and you're genuinely excited by the messy, high-stakes work of building a company.
You're exceptionally organized, agency-driven, and as comfortable diving into an unfamiliar domain as you are managing a dozen open workstreams at once
You're in it for the game — not the CV — and you're ready to be in our Surry Hills office five days a week, working directly alongside our founders and leadership team
What you'll do
Run the operational engine behind our founders and leadership forums
Assist with LT agenda prep, brief founders on key discussion points, capture action items, and chase them to closure
Research and brief founders before investor calls, executive sessions, and board meetings
Coordinate logistics for events with guests (subscriber and prospect executive sponsors, special guests in tech): agenda, prep materials, debrief notes
Triage the stream of requests that land on the founders' plates: own it, route it, or make the call to drop it
Fill in where needed: run an exec demo, stand in at a conference, jump in to resolve a subscriber issue
Build systems and drive cross-functional clarity
Stand up new processes from scratch, then hand them off to the right function once they're running
Bring clarity to complex, cross-functional problems: pull together the right people, synthesis conflicting inputs, and help drive to a decision
Build scalable processes and playbooks, often with AI-native tooling that supercharges our founders' impact
Go deep on the business
Build genuine domain expertise: understand the Lorikeet platform well enough to demo it to a prospect, review tickets, and spot patterns across subscriber accounts
Communicate the business to varied audiences: write clearly for investors, present credibly to the leadership team, and translate strategy for the broader company
Develop a working knowledge of deals in the CRM, competitive landscape, and product roadmap — not as a spectator, but as someone who can identify issues with conviction
Grow by going deeper
The best operators here don't wait for learning opportunities: they go find them. Sit in on subscriber calls, read the board paper, attend product demos, dig into the data
Build enough understanding of the system to spot problems before anyone asks you to look
This is how people in this role grow into leading teams, owning functions, or stepping into BizOps, Chief of Staff, or other leadership roles
You might be a fit if you:
Have 2–4 years of experience in operations, strategy, consulting, investment banking, VC/PE, or a business analyst role at a fast-growing company
Come from a consulting, finance, entrepreneurial, or startup background where you learned to operate under ambiguity with hustle and horsepower
Are happy to be in our Surry Hills office 5 days/week and ready to hit the ground running
If you're from an underrepresented background and don't tick every box, please reach out anyway. We know firsthand that diverse teams perform better, and we're proud that our team reflects a broad spectrum of identities and lived experiences.
