We’re Heidi.

We're building the future of healthcare by giving every clinician the earth's finest AI Care Partner. In just 18 months, our clinical AI products have absorbed the administrative chaos of 73 million patient visits. Today, we support over 2.5 million patient sessions a week across 190+ countries.

Healthcare systems are failing us; clinicians spend more time on documentation than on patients, and the human connection that makes medicine worth practicing is eroding. Our mission is simple: double the world’s healthcare capacity and strengthen the human connection at its heart.

We found product-market fit with a freemium medical scribe that clinicians love. Now, we're expanding. Every task a clinician hands to Heidi is a patient who feels more attended to, a health system unclogged, and a clinician who gets to be a clinician again.

If you don’t choose easy and you want to build something way bigger than yourself then, choose the challenge, choose Heidi.

The role

Clinical trials still ask patients, clinicians, research sites, sponsors and CROs to hold a fragmented system together by hand. Eligibility gets checked on paper. Referrals lose momentum at every hand-off. A patient who would have been a perfect match never hears the study exists. We’re looking for a Clinical Product Manager who knows that system from the inside and wants to rebuild it.

You’ll shape a new clinical trials platform spanning patient identification and trial discovery, eligibility and pre-screening, referral and site intake, and the workflows life sciences organisations rely on to deliver studies. This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You’ll move between research sites, sponsor and CRO teams, patients, design, data and engineering, then turn what you learn into a product that ships. We care less about the exact title you’ve held than whether you’ve worked inside clinical trials, at a sponsor, CRO, research site, health system or trial technology company, and whether you can read a regulated clinical workflow, find the constraint that matters, and take a team from ambiguity to a measurable outcome.

What you’ll do

  • Own the product direction. Set the strategy, outcomes and roadmap for Heidi’s clinical trials product. Make clear calls about where we start, what we deliberately don’t build yet, and which bespoke customer request doesn’t belong on the roadmap.

  • Work inside the workflow. Spend real time with investigators, research nurses and coordinators, referring clinicians, patients, sponsor teams and CRO operators. Observe the work, not the meeting about the work.

  • Map the whole journey, from study set-up and trial awareness through matching, consent, referral, site intake, screening, enrollment and retention. Find where software removes delay without weakening clinical or operational control.

  • Make pre-screening safe to trust. Turn complex inclusion and exclusion criteria into workflows that are explainable, reviewable and obvious to a coordinator under time pressure.

  • Ship with design and engineering. Translate ambiguous clinical and commercial needs into crisp problem statements, prototypes, requirements and sequenced releases, then stay close through validation, launch and iteration.

  • Build trust into the product. Partner with clinical, legal, privacy, security and quality so consent, traceability, explainability, role-based access, auditability and human review are designed in from the start.

  • Make pragmatic integration and data calls across EHR/EMR, CTMS, EDC, eConsent, ePRO, trial registries, identity and communications systems.

  • Measure outcomes, not output. Define the funnel metrics that matter: time to match, referral completeness, site response time, pre-screening effort, screen-failure rate, enrollment conversion, retention and user trust.

If we’d worked together the last 6 weeks

  • You’d have sat in on screening visits at three research sites and come back with the two reasons coordinators still keep a paper eligibility checklist next to the CTMS.

  • You’d have taken one sponsor’s protocol, turned its inclusion and exclusion criteria into a working pre-screening prototype, then watched a research nurse try to break it.

  • You’d have shipped the first version of referral tracking and found that site response time, not patient interest, was the thing killing conversion.

  • You’d have argued us out of an integration. The registry data looked useful until you traced how stale it was.

  • You’d have written the one-pager that got clinical, privacy and engineering to agree on where human review sits in the matching flow.

What you’ll need

  • 5+ years of product work in regulated or clinically complex environments, though we care more about what you’ve shipped/built than years on the clock.

  • A romantic streak about software. You believe great products can transform someone’s day.

  • You do the work yourself. You run discovery, analyze the data, write the doc, test the workflow and unblock delivery without a support structure around you.

  • You move fast inside constraints instead of resenting them. Safety, consent and data integrity make the problem more interesting to you, not slower.

  • Passion for AI, shown through hands-on building, prototyping, or side projects.

  • You default to building over requesting.

  • You're confident in your thinking and open to being wrong. Great ideas win regardless of who surfaces them.

How we show up

  • Build for the next decade, not next quarter. Our targets are outrageous on purpose. The world's health doesn't have the luxury of incrementalism.

  • Lead, don't wait. We treat tomorrow's problems today. Sometimes we build what's needed before it's wanted, and we're fine with that.

  • Follow the evidence. Trust the patient. We pursue truth relentlessly. But when the subjective and objective disagree, we treat the patient, not the numbers. Ego is a comorbidity we can't afford.

  • Own the outcome. Everyone here carries the company. Raise problems with solutions, solve them end-to-end, and never be a bystander.

  • Ship, measure, go again. A button today, a workflow tomorrow. More iterations beat better planning. We're precise at pace, not reckless.

  • Live in clinicians' reality. Not the ideal workflow, the twenty-patients-before-lunch actual one. We build for exhausted humans, and we'd better be decent ones while we do it.

Why Heidi?

You’ll join a team focused on real-world impact over imaginary valuations and glossy PR. We live and breathe the challenges of modern health systems, and are laser-focused on exacting the change we’d like to see. We’re medicos, engineers, builders, and designers who’ve felt the moral and practical toll of what non-care feels like. True A-players progress extremely fast here. The nature of the scale-up game is demanding, but we value sustainable performance and mental health. You're trusted to perform, and you set your schedule. We operate on outcomes > inputs, not process theatre. We all take the bins out, metaphorically and literally.

Building what we’re building isn’t always easy. But we didn’t choose easy, we chose to build something that actually matters. We hold ourselves to a higher standard because healthcare demands it. If you join Heidi, you recognise that the deeper question isn’t whether AI can solve the global healthcare crisis, but whose hands will shape it. The work is hard, but you will trust and admire the people you work beside, and rest easy knowing you’re doing the defining work of your career.

We take care of you.
