This is a website development role working within the Go-To-Market (GTM) team.

Who we are

Healthcare needs a better rhythm: one that keeps care continuous and deeply human. Heidi is building an AI Care Partner that works alongside clinicians to make that possible.

We’re a team of doctors, engineers, designers, researchers, and creatives building tools that help clinicians stay focused on what matters most: their patients.

In just 18 months, Heidi has given back more than 18 million hours to healthcare professionals — supporting 73 million patient visits in 116 countries. Today, more than two million patient visits each week are powered by Heidi worldwide.

Backed by nearly $100 million in funding, we’re growing in the US, UK, Canada, and Europe, partnering with leading health systems including the NHS, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and Monash Health.

The Role

Join our team to develop server-side features and integrations for our Next.js/Sanity platform, including API routes, Sanity schemas/workflows, third-party service integrations (Crowdin, analytics, Intercom, Posthog, Braze), and content pipeline automation. You'll work with TypeScript, REST APIs, webhook systems, and headless CMS architecture while supporting our multi-locale content management needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integration Development: Develop and maintain Next.js API routes and server-side functionality to connect the marketing platform with internal Product APIs.

  • Crowdin & Localisation: Build and maintain integrations with third-party translation systems (Crowdin), ensuring reliable synchronisation and content delivery across our 10+ locales.

  • CMS Schema & Workflow: Design and implement robust Sanity CMS schemas, custom workflows, and document validation to support multi-lingual content modeling.

  • AI-Assisted Development: Proactively leverage AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT) to accelerate API route boilerplate, design efficient GROQ queries, and automate testing for complex integrations.

  • Automation & Webhooks: Implement webhook handlers and develop event-driven automation for content synchronisation, lead routing, and third-party service integration (e.g., Intercom, analytics platforms).

  • Content Pipeline: Develop content transformation pipelines for translation workflows, data serialization, and efficient content fetching using Sanity's GROQ query language.

  • Vercel Optimisation: Assist in optimising API performance and data fetching using Vercel's Edge Functions and serverless architecture.

  • Code Quality & Review: Write clean, maintainable TypeScript code, enforce coding standards, and actively participate in team code reviews.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2-4 years of professional backend development experience, preferably in a high-traffic environment.

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js.

  • Experience with Next.js API routes and server-side logic execution.

  • Understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party API integration.

  • Experience with Headless CMS platforms and designing scalable content models.

  • AI Fluency: Comfortable using AI tools to explain code logic, refactor server functions, and speed up daily development workflows.

  • Experience with Git workflows and collaborative development.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to troubleshoot production issues under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with Sanity CMS (schemas, GROQ, custom plugins, Studio customisation).

  • Knowledge of translation management systems like Crowdin or Lokalise.

  • Familiarity with Vercel deployment, Edge Functions, and serverless architecture.

  • Experience with data serialisation and validation patterns.

  • Understanding of internationalisation (i18n) workflows and multi-locale content management.

  • Experience in healthcare or regulated industries.
