Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus

London, UK
Posted on Feb 6, 2025

Society has changed but the healthcare system hasn’t. The evidence is undeniable – long wait times, rising out-of-pocket costs, inefficient systems, out-of-date attitudes, issues of access, the list goes on. Clearly, the system is failing us, so we’ve decided to fix it.

About Eucalyptus (or ‘Euc’)

Eucalyptus (or 'Euc' for short) is an Australian founded digital healthcare company that is on a mission to solve the world’s biggest healthcare challenges - think fertility, and behavioural change around chronic conditions such as weight loss, diabetes, and mental health.

What we have achieved so far

🚀 Launched 5 demographically tailored brands and facilitated over 1 million medical consultations worldwide (Juniper, Compound, Pilot, Kin, & Software).

🌍 Built a team of 500+ Eucalypts across 6 countries (🇦🇺🇬🇧🇩🇪🇯🇵🇵🇭🇿🇦) consisting of medical practitioners, engineers, and operators across all functions!

💰 Raised over US$100M funding from the same investors who backed Canva, Uber, and AirBnB.

… and we’re just getting started! Read more about our mission to change healthcare here.

What’s Next?

In the UK we are continuing to grow at a fast pace and are excited to see what we can achieve in 2025.

We are continuously building our team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about healthcare, willing to work hard, and committed to investing in others through direct and honest feedback. This collaborative and proactive approach enables us to make impactful changes, improving the health of millions of patients globally.

About the role (What you’ll be doing)

Juniper is the largest digital health clinic under the Eucalyptus umbrella. In the UK, we support tens of thousands of women with their weight, combining medication, tailored nutrition and exercise programmes, and expert healthcare support from health coaches, dietitians, and pharmacists.

But we’re just getting started. Our vision is to expand beyond obesity care and build a comprehensive, patient-first preventative healthcare ecosystem. There are so many more ways we can support our Juniper members, and we need a visionary leader to help us define, build, and scale these next chapters.

This role is ideal for a founder-type leader—someone who has built a business from scratch, thrives in ambiguity, and knows how to execute with speed and precision. You will take Juniper from a single-condition clinic to a multi-faceted preventative healthcare platform, identifying new opportunities, shaping the strategy, and launching entirely new businesses within the company.

You will report directly to the Senior Leadership Team, working closely with:

  • Rebecca Holdt, Regional GM, Europe (London, UK)
  • Erin Chuah, Program Lead, Juniper (London, UK)

In This Role, You Will…

Define and build new healthcare businesses

  • Identify and validate high-potential healthcare verticals (e.g. menopause, diagnostics) to shape Juniper’s next phase of growth.
  • Engage with patients and communities to uncover their most pressing challenges and unmet needs.
  • Work closely with clinical experts, patient-facing teams, and industry partners to design evidence-based, high-impact programs.

Develop the business and commercial strategy

  • Build and validate business cases for expansion areas, ensuring we deliver patient impact while balancing commercial viability.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify patient demand, competitor positioning, pricing strategies, and differentiation opportunities.
  • Own the P&L, setting financial and operational goals to build a scalable, sustainable business model.

Launch, scale, and iterate

  • Execute fast—this is not a strategy-only role; you’ll be hands-on, making things happen.
  • Own the first 100 patients—writing emails, securing partnerships, and designing the full patient experience from the ground up.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and operations to bring new services to market.
  • Track key metrics rigorously, using real patient feedback and performance data to refine and optimize the experience post-launch.

This is a rare opportunity to build and scale new businesses within a high-growth company, shaping the future of women’s preventative healthcare. If you’re a proactive, entrepreneurial leader who thrives on execution and impact, we’d love to hear from you.

About you (Who are we looking for)

The individuals who have previously taken on similar roles—launching new businesses, brands, or markets—have gone on to lead global functions and drive major company transformations. They are self-motivated, analytical, and execution-driven powerhouses who thrive in ambiguous environments, push ambitious ideas forward, and deliver results fast.

We entrust big, complex problems to those who embrace autonomy, move quickly, and make things happen. For the right person, this role will be intense, fast-paced, and high-impact—but also deeply rewarding, fun, and a career-defining opportunity.

As our growth accelerates, there will be expanding opportunities for those who step up, take ownership, and drive meaningful impact.

Skills & Experience

  • Entrepreneurial operator (5+ years experience): You have built or scaled something from the ground up—whether as a founder, an early-stage startup leader, or a key driver in a high-growth company. You move fast, thrive in ambiguity, and get things done.
  • Strategic thinker who executes: You know that a strong strategy sets the direction, but execution drives impact. You balance big-picture thinking with relentless action, ensuring we ship fast, learn quickly, and iterate effectively.
  • Seamless integration of product and services: You know how to blend digital products with human-led services to create scalable, patient-first experiences. You can envision how our app, patient support, and clinical care should evolve—leveraging technology for efficiency while maximising the value of personal touch.
  • Relentless problem-solver with a bias for impact: You run at challenges head-on, break down complex problems, and chip away with creative, data-driven solutions. Whether it’s resolving operational bottlenecks, refining business strategies, or optimising processes, you stay resourceful, resilient, and outcome-focused.
  • Strong communicator who drives alignment: You bring people together, cut through complexity, and create clarity in ambiguity—whether through concise writing, persuasive storytelling, or data-driven insights. You adapt your style across written, verbal, and visual mediums to keep teams focused, informed, and moving in the same direction.

Behaviours & Attitudes

  • Patient-first mindset: You put patient outcomes and safety above all else, ensuring every decision balances business growth with clinical excellence and exceptional care.
  • Ownership mentality: You step up, take responsibility, and do whatever it takes to drive impact—for patients, the team, and the business. You go the extra mile to get things done and support others, no matter the challenge.
  • Calm, adaptable, and execution-focused: You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments where you must prioritise ruthlessly, manage multiple projects end to end, and deliver results with speed and precision.
  • Growth-driven: You are always learning, improving, and pushing boundaries. You see challenges as opportunities to build new skills and expand your impact.

Bonus Points

  • You have experience in or a personal passion for health tech or women’s health.
  • You have working knowledge of SQL, Figma, or CRM tools—everything you might need to execute like a scrappy founder.
