Our mobile-first products and machine learning-powered credit models look beyond outdated credit scores, using over 250 real-time financial signals to recognize real potential. Named among the next billion-dollar startups, we're not just changing how people access financial products — we're creating a new credit system that backs the working, whatever they're working toward.

The opportunity: Compliance Analyst

As a Compliance Analyst at Tilt, you’ll be integral to ensuring our products, processes, and customer interactions meet the highest regulatory and compliance standards. This role involves collaborating across teams and contributing to key compliance functions, including complaints management, marketing reviews, compliance issue management, audit requests, and more. Your attention to detail, proactive approach, and analytical mind will help Tilt build trust with our customers and partners while fostering an innovative culture of compliance.

Tilt is a remote-first company. We drive connectivity through regular company offsites. Travel for company offsites is expected at a minimum 2 times per year.

How you'll make an impact

Complaints Management:

  • Dig into complaints to uncover patterns and systemic issues, transforming customer pain points into actionable insights that shape Tilt’s products and services

  • Deliver trend analysis and clear, impactful recommendations to both frontline teams and Tilt’s leadership, driving continuous improvement across the company

  • Craft thoughtful and accurate responses to regulatory complaints that reflect our commitment to transparency and trust

Compliance Issue Management:

  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Support to identify compliance issues, document root causes, plug the leaks, and drive toward lasting solutions

  • Work hand-in-hand with technical and business stakeholders to ensure issues are fully understood, communicated, and remediated with precision

  • Track and advance the resolution of issues through Tilt’s Issue Management Program, ensuring corrective actions stick and risks are managed proactively

Process Improvement via AI & Automation:

  • Identify and implement process improvements across your compliance functions to reduce manual effort, minimize errors, and dive deep into analysis

  • Continuously assess and optimize compliance operations by applying automation, AI, and emerging technologies to strengthen risk management, drive efficiency, and support the company’s innovation-focused strategy

Why you're a great fit

  • 2+ years of compliance or related experience in financial services or fintech

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build relationships across teams

  • Self-starter mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Bonus: Data analysis, experience in preparing legal/compliance correspondence, knowledge of financial compliance marketing regulations

Our Interview Process

  1. Initial recruiter call: A conversation to learn about your experience and what you're looking for in your next role

  2. Hiring manager interview: A deeper discussion about your background and approach to solving challenges

  3. Skills panel: Meet with Tilt team members to discuss your expertise and problem-solving approach through real-world scenarios

  4. Leadership conversation: A conversation with our Head of Compliance to discuss our mission and how you could contribute to it (and how we can help you achieve your career goals along the way)

Don’t meet every qualification? We care about potential over your past. If you're bringing ambition and drive to what we're building, we want to hear from you.

What you'll get at Tilt

We're looking for people who chase excellence and impact. Those who stand behind their work, celebrating the wins and learning from the missteps equally. We foster an environment where every voice is valued and mutual respect is non-negotiable — brilliant jerks need not apply. We're in this together, working to expand access to fair credit and prove that people are incredible. When you join us, it's not just another day at the [virtual] office, you're helping millions of hardworking people reach better financial futures.

You’re pushing ahead in your career? We can get behind that. Join us in building the credit system that people deserve.
