How you can help make a better world of work

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join the Data Analytics team in the Strategy & Commercial Finance department. This is an opportunity to scale and mature our financial reporting and accelerate the company’s strategic priorities through proactive insights.

As part of this team,

You will:

  • Partner with commercial finance leaders to scale and uplift our financial reporting (ARR, cash flow, profitability and efficiency) with a view towards self-service.
  • Partner with the strategy team to develop a strong understanding of the business and drive the company’s strategic priorities through analytics projects, such as deep-dive analyses, forecasting and prediction models.
  • Empower commercial leaders to independently back their decisions with data via trustworthy and user-friendly data products (dashboards, Looker explores, data integrations) and education.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve commercial outcomes (new sales, expansion, retention, profitability) by analysing customer data.
  • Identify data gaps and collaborate with the analytics engineering team to model and sync new fields into our data warehouse, BI tool and customer management systems.
  • Define best practices to elevate our analytics maturity to the next level.

You have:

  • Advanced SQL for descriptive analytics.
  • High competency in building dashboards and analysing data with business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau or Power BI (preferably with Looker). Experience coaching others on data visualisation and storytelling.
  • Proficiency in identifying patterns and trends in the data that can inform decisions, and knowledge of statistical methods to summarise, describe and find relationships in data.
  • Some experience using Python or R for statistical testing and basic machine learning algorithms.
  • Experience with data cleaning, validation and transformation, preferably with dbt.
  • Understanding of common software practices like version control, continuous deployment, and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with b2b SaaS commercial metrics and the levers to influence them (e.g. ARR, GRR, CAC, LTV).
  • A leaning towards scalable analytics and an ability to negotiate with stakeholders to prioritise strategic insights.

  • An analytical thinker who tackles big or complex problems by thinking critically about the status quo, asking the right questions, backing up assertions with logic and reasoning and data.
  • Able to make the complex simple and choose the right medium and visualisation, to persuasively communicate with a range of stakeholders.
  • A self-starter who proactively seeks improvement opportunities and effectively collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve shared results.
  • Passionate about coaching and sharing your analytics knowledge with other analysts and the rest of the organisation.
  • Adaptable, able to embrace the learning that can result from change and apply critical thinking to bring structure to an ambiguous environment.
