About the role

Ready for the biggest role of your career? As a Founding Senior Product Designer, you'll drive the vision behind Clove's next product chapter, with a focus on agentic workflows.

This is a rare brief: agentic consumer design has no playbook yet. You'll help define what it looks like when AI actually runs a household kitchen – combining beautifully simple product experiences with intuitive AI technology.

The role is equal parts systems thinking and world-class consumer design. The right candidate will balance both, becoming the champion of exceptionally high design standards at Clove.

This is a 0-1 role that requires flexing across a range of design disciplines, ahead of building out our design team as we grow and scale.

The role

  • Own the end-to-end product vision of Clove. Own the big picture experience and the little details, being the custodian of our world class product design standards.
  • Design and dream the future. You'll spend time exploring the future – what technology is possible and how it can simplify everyday problems. Your job is to bring that future to millions of home cooks worldwide.
  • Bridge the gap between vision and execution. Work closely with founders to translate vision and company goals into thoughtful designs — and create clarity for the engineering team to bring them to life.
  • Design agentic workflows. You'll be designing a world-first agentic vision – a product that driven workflows on users behalf. You'll deeply understand the mechanics behind the features, and directly build system prompts and agentic logic.
  • Empathy led design. You'll regularly speak to customers through support and interviews, and ensure a clear feedback loop back to the team building the product.
  • Own a range of design projects. Design across product, marketing and brand — leaning into different areas as priorities change. You'll be the champion of what feels like Clove, and communicate it internally and to the world.

About you

  • 5+ years designing consumer products, with a portfolio that shows both systems thinking and exceptional visual design standards.
  • You're technically versed and genuinely interested in agentic systems — you've worked with LLMs and can designs systems, not just screens / brands.
  • You communicate design decisions clearly and persuasively, bringing day-to-day clarity for engineers.
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments, working autonomously and embracing ambiguity — you know when to keep it simple and when to go deep.
  • You have a low ego and are impact driven, setting the tone for Clove's design discipline as we grow.
  • Bonus: you have an interest in cooking and food!

Why Clove?

  • Early stage impact. Be part of a small, dynamic team where your contributions truly matter.
  • Get in early. Work on a fast growing global product with PMF, and accelerate the next stage of growth.
  • Hybrid culture. Work flexibly, with at least two days a week in our Surry Hills office.
  • Growth & rewards. Competitive salary + meaningful equity. Own a piece of what we're building.
  • Design for a mission. Shape a product that solves the most universal, unsolved problem there is – deciding what to eat.
