Carepatron | Auckland, hybrid (mostly remote, 2 days in office)

Carepatron is practice management software used by thousands of health and wellness practitioners around the world. Therapists, psychologists, counsellors, physios, dietitians, and clinics of all shapes use us to run their day.

We want to make content for them. A lot of it. That's where you come in.

This is a 12-week paid internship focused on educational resources and social video for a clinical audience. Behavioral health is our biggest segment, so a lot of the work will speak to therapists, psychologists, and counsellors. Most of our customers are in the US, so you'll be making content for a global audience from day one.

The role is hybrid. You'll work mostly remotely with a couple of days a week in our Auckland office, which is where the filming, riffing on ideas, and quick feedback loops happen.

What you'll be doing

  • Making short-form video for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn
  • Turning clinical and practice topics into educational resources people actually save and share
  • Filming and editing. Phone-first is completely fine
  • Posting, scheduling and keeping a steady rhythm week to week
  • Watching what performs, then making more of it
  • Jumping on trends and new formats before they go stale
  • Working with our marketing and clinical team so the clinical detail is sound

What we're looking for

  • You already make content. It doesn't need to be for a brand, your own accounts absolutely count
  • You know how to write a hook that stops a scroll, then tell a story that gives people a reason to stay
  • Social media native. You know why something worked, not just that it did
  • High velocity. You'd rather ship ten things and learn than perfect one
  • Comfortable on camera, or great at making other people look good on camera
  • Solid editing skills in whatever you like using. CapCut, Premiere, Descript, all fine
  • A real interest in healthcare and mental health. No clinical background needed, just curiosity about the people we're making this for
  • You care about getting things right. A lot of what we make will be light and relatable, and it still needs to hold up for the practitioners watching it
  • The right to work in New Zealand, and able to get to our Auckland office a couple of days a week

Nice to have

  • Recently graduated or studying comms, marketing, psychology, health or something adjacent
  • You've grown an account from zero
  • You've worked in or around a clinic

What you get

  • Paid work with a global audience from week one
  • Ownership of a content stream, not coffee runs
  • A portfolio of published work with real numbers attached
  • Close mentoring from our marketing team
  • Flexibility on which days you're in, worked out with your manager
  • A genuine shot at ongoing work if it clicks
