The US Insurance Billing Lead will oversee Carepatron’s end-to-end insurance billing operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and an exceptional client experience. You will lead a team of billers, collaborate closely with our product, support, and GTM teams, and help shape a scalable billing service that matches Carepatron’s high standards of simplicity and excellence.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-growing, product-driven SaaS environment and cares deeply about helping practitioners get paid faster, easier, and with fewer headaches.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and mentor our US insurance billing team, fostering a supportive, high-performance culture.
• Manage daily RCM workflows including eligibility checks, charge entry, submissions, follow-ups, appeals, and payment posting.
• Drive improvements across billing operations to reduce denials, shorten reimbursement cycles, and enhance first-pass resolution.
• Maintain strong working relationships with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers, and key clearinghouse partners.
• Troubleshoot complex billing issues and provide escalation support to our customers and internal teams.
• Partner with our product and engineering teams to refine workflows, automation, claims tools, and billing intelligence features.
• Own key performance metrics (AR aging, collections efficiency, denial rates, payer turnaround times).
• Ensure all billing operations meet HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific compliance requirements.
• Support onboarding, training, and best practice guidance for practitioners using Carepatron’s billing services.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of US medical billing / RCM experience, including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, clearinghouse workflows, ERA/EOB posting, and claims resolution processes.
• Experience with behavioral health, primary care, PT/OT, or multi-specialty billing (strong advantage).
• Demonstrated success improving billing operations through process optimisation or automation.
• Exceptional communication and client relationship skills.
• High attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving SaaS environment.
• Familiarity with Carepatron (or modern EHRs/RCM tools) is a plus!
